My name is Johnny Gaspar -

I'm a senior at Rutgers-Newark who will FINALLY be graduating in May even though I mentally graduated two semesters ago. I'm a Marketing and Journalism double major and I'm one of the copy editors for Scarlet Magazine. I ultimately want to work in an advertising agency in commercial advertising or some sort of combination between marketing and marketing communications via media or public relations.

I currently work at ADP as a Marketing Coordinator in the Accountant Channel. I work with a lot of different departments including Franchises & Affiliations, Sales, Acquisition, etc. Most of what my job entails is working with advertising agencies, creating collateral pieces for Sales, writing public relations pieces, and coordinating trade shows. My job has offered me a lot of great experiences, one of which was to participate and coordinate a trade show in Las Vegas at the Bellagio (everything paid for by the company! woop woop! :D) I'll be going back in February for another show, only this time it's at MGM Grand!

Something else that I'm currently working on is training for a half-marathon with my sister which I'm pretty excited about. I've always enjoyed running and having that time to escape from everything else that is going on in my life. It's just a personal goal that I have for myself and I hope that I'll be able to follow through with it.

In reality I'm just a big dork, and when I'm not working... or running... or doing homework... or working on paperwork for my dad's business... I'm taking screen shots of LOL pics and posting it on Instagram to shock people and make them laugh, reenacting Family Guy, South Park, and MadTV skits with my friends, and making fun of my overly-dramatic yet amusing Portuguese culture.

So that's a little insight into my life. Check out this commercial that I created for my advertising class. It's a little ghetto but I think it's pretty funny. Enjoy!
