Hi, my name is

Hey Guys!

I´m Alexandra Elisa Mosquera, but all my friends, acquaintances, teachers, even random people call me Alex, so feel free to do the same thing ;-) I´m a junior at Rutgers, and transferred from California. This is my first semester on the East Coast.

Thanks to my family I was able to travel around the world and live in four different countries and now without my family, in the fifth, and hopefully it won´t be my last stop. All those experiences I had throughout my life have helped me to be very open-minded. Now I´m in the U.S., the country where dreams come true, and I never would have thought I would find myself here, studying and making my way through life.

When I was sixteen I decided I wanted to become a reporter, so of course my major is Journalism, and I´m thinking of minoring in Sociology. Since my teenager years I developed a love for writing. I speak three languages so I write in all of them. I have different notebooks/pads that I have been writing in for a while now, each about different topics (dreams, life experiences, short fiction stories, etc). I dream of working for the New York Times and someday have my own magazine.

Another thing I found I enjoy doing is related to fashion. I design many of my own clothes (can´t sew so good yet, but I´m getting there), and I just recently started my own business, which is about styling; from students to students. As soon as I settle down in my apartment and get used to this new school, I plan to, step by step, get clients in the New Jersey and New York City area. For my business I set up a website which will be up sometime soon. My blog and Facebook site have been open since October last year, to kind of promote the idea a little. You can check it out if you want to:

I noticed how I learn something new everyday, no matter if it´s about people surrounding me, friends or family, about music and fashion, culture and politics, also about myself. Life is full of unexpected surprises and I´m excited about what life has in store for me. In the last couple years I made this quote my inspiration: "Nothing is Impossible, the word itself says I´m Possible!" by Audrey Hepburn.

I got this tattoo so I´m always reminded of that quote I wrote above.
